Education of Poor and orphaned kids

We are committed to providing education and healthcare to unprivileged children. We, as an NGO, work ardently for the welfare and well-being of poor children and address various aspects like lessening poverty, providing proper healthcare, population control, and awareness regarding human rights.

Education is essential for a better life because it empowers individuals to earn their livelihood, and this also increases awareness regarding several issues, from healthcare to learning appropriate social behaviors. All of these contribute to making individuals live a better and more evolved life.

House of Mercy’s an educational initiative that includes Pre-school (3-6 years), Non-formal education (6-14 years who does not go to school), Remedial Education (6-14 years who are school-going), and BridgeCourse (14-18 years drop-outs). We support the education of the unprivileged children who survive under very difficult circumstances. We support children forced to do child labor, born to extremely poor parents, children with very rare disabilities, and slum children. Also, we specialize in women’s and girls’ education so that they and their families are fairly empowered.

Food and Support for Widows

Several elderly women suffer from isolation, poverty, and social exclusion. The elderly widowed women are often witnessed to be deprived of basic rights like food, and healthcare and are also thrown out of their homes by their own families. Thousands of these aged widows congregate in several holy places and spend their remaining lives in absolute austerity. They are often seen begging for their daily food and live in hovels with no running water or electricity.

The destitute widows feel helpless and have no support system. Their only survival strategy is to beg and collect little money after daily begging hours. House of Mercy helps these widows by providing pensions and other resources for their survival.

We propose to help the destitute widows by providing them security and financial independence. Our ground team helps them in building skills. We successfully generate means of livelihood for them and also help them instill a sense of self-esteem and worth in their lives. Our project is intended to benefit widows by providing them with mid-day meals, shelter, clothing, and healthcare.

Shelter/home for a group of widows

Thousands of widows live in distress. They are forced to live in deplorable conditions. Several beg; many of them beg or engage in odd jobs and stay in groups. They find security in their lives in the company of each other who have come from different backgrounds and regions. Several of them have struggled a lot in their lives for decades. Many of them are also victims of a lot of violence and suffer from mental illness.

We provide shelter to the widows that are places of stability and tranquility and offer a ray of sunshine for the widows. We not only provide shelter to them but also help them generate small incomes that help them in their better survival. When they can earn by themselves, it provides dignity and confidence in them. They are also able to control their lives all by themselves. We also provide vocational training to the widows to give them a sense of rejuvenation in their lives. This gives them a soothing experience and also facilitates them to forget the past traumatizing experiences.
